Our Steelshop allows for the fabrication of electrical enclosures from 316, 304, 3CR12 and cold and hot rolled mild steel, up to and including 2-3mm thick material as well as the modification of shipping containers to a client’s specifications for fitment of MCC’s, transformers and controlgear. This includes the manufacture of stairways, personnel platforms, outdoor transformer enclosures, etc, which is used in conjuction with custom built Packaged Substations, E-houses, skids and modified containers that have been manufactured to the clients specification. KSEA’s Steelshop has access to a plasma cutter, laser cutter, CNC punching machine and bend brakes. This means that we are not limited to only electrical sheetmetal enclosures, but can fabricate anything that can be made of sheet steel.
